One of my many attempts to make scones!

Not bad, light, fluffy, tad bit small but couldn't find the larger ring! Recipe from the Great British book of baking.

A little slice of reason.

I decided to start a blog about my baking, not to show of my talents but because i thought i would share it with others.
I'm a traditional Amatuer baker, taught by my mother, who's mother taught her. I started when i was young, learning from packet already made mixtures the one's where all you had to add was water and some lovin'! This gave me the passion for baking, my mother always used to say 'things always taste better when you've added some love' and i still stand by that!

Baking for me isn't just about having a tasty cake at the end of it, it's the process and journey you take in making that cake, the enjoyment people have when eating it and the satisfaction from knowing you've created that from nothing! although baking isn't always fun, especially when something goes wrong, the cake doesn't cook, the cupcakes crown, the scones don's rise (which happens alot) but another thing my mother taught me is ' the beauty is in the imperfection' and 'as long as it's still edible it's a success'.

So this is where my love for baking began and will hopefully continue.
